Lindsey Shafar Lindsey is a lifelong resident of the Pacific Northwest. She graduated from the University of Washington in Seattle, Cum Laude, with a degree in International Studies. During college, Lindsey worked for the King County Prosecutor's Office, working primarily on habeas corpus cases and civil litigation involving the County Sheriff's Office. Next, Lindsey received her Juris Doctorate from the Northwestern School of Law of Lewis & Clark College. She was honored to serve as an associate editor for the law review Environmental Law. While in Law School, Lindsey worked for the Oregon Department of Justice, and at the law firm Kell, Alterman, & Runstein, LLP. During that time, she focused on litigation involving employment discrimination, constitutionality of new statutes, domestic relations, and trust and estate litigation. After graduating from Law School, Lindsey worked for the law firm Reinisch Mackenzie, P.C., representing self-insured employers in Washington workers' compensation cases. In that position, she was a frequent speaker on legislative issues for the Washington Self-Insurers Association. Through this diverse legal background, she gained extensive courtroom and litigation experience. As an associate attorney at Wheeler, Montgomery Sleight & Boyd, Lindsey focuses on family law, domestic relations, and criminal law.
